Masteruser represent working groups and departements of ZMAW in the Central IT Systems Steering Group (S-CIS).  They are responsible for the IT-environment of their group and define requirements in close communication with CIS. The groups budget is their responsibility and they are the first contact person concerning procurement.

Often Masteruser are also Super Users, which means they have root privileges or administrator rights on certain computers.
